How to Connect Computer Speakers to TV

There are many people who wonder about how to connect computer speakers to TV. This is something that can be achieved very easily, as long as you have the right connection cable with you.

Most people would not be carrying out this task on a regular basis, but it would not hurt to learn. You could be doing this just on an experimental basis, or you could genuinely be in need of transferring your TV audio output to a set of speakers. Either way, this is an easy feat to accomplish.

The RCA plug will go into your TV set's RCA port (the red jack into the red port, and the white/black jack into the white/black port), and use the stereo jack on the other end of the cable to plug the stereo cable of your computer speakers in. This will enable you to transfer audio output of your TV to the speakers.

Method 2

The second method involves the use of a dual RCA stereo male to 3.5 mm stereo male Y-cable, and it also makes use of the RCA port on your TV set. One end of the cable goes into the RCA port of the TV set, as mentioned in the first method. The second end goes into the Line-In jack that is present on the back of your computer.

This is a blue-colored round jack, which connects to the sound card of your machine. Then, you need to connect your computer speakers to the Line-Out jack of the sound card, which is the round green-colored jack. This method obviously requires the use of the CPU of your computer.

Method 3

The next method involves the use of a 3.5 mm stereo male to female cable, and it connects the speakers to the TV using the headphone jack of the TV set. One end of the cable goes into the headphone jack, and the other end is used to connect the speakers. This is the most simple method of all.

Method 4

This last method will require a 3.5 mm stereo male to male jack, and it also involves the use of your CPU as an intermediary connector. One end of the cable goes into the headphone jack of the TV, and the other end goes into the Line-In jack that is present on the back of the CPU.

The computer speakers are then connected to the Line-Out jack, and the sound will then be transmitted from the speakers.

As you can see, these methods are very easy to understand, and even easier to implement. All you need is the right kind of cable, and this can be achieved with ultimate ease. You must check if your flat screen TV or HDTV has an RCA port, and if it does, then you can connect it directly to the speakers.
